Helpful to have ready when you talk with Matt
- Your Medicare card (if you have one)
- A list of your doctors
- A list of your prescriptions and doses
- Your plan's Annual Notice of Change (if you received one)
Medicare's Annual Enrollment Period runs October 15 – December 7.
Every Year: October 15 – December 7
This is the main time each year when anyone on Medicare can review their coverage and make changes for the next year.
- Oct 1Next year’s plan details are posted
- Oct 15Annual Enrollment opens
- Dec 7Last day to make a change
- Jan 1Your new coverage starts
What you can change
Join, switch, or drop a Medicare Advantage or drug plan, or move between Original Medicare and Medicare Advantage.
Check your plan’s yearly letter
If you have a Medicare Advantage or drug plan, your Annual Notice of Change arrives by the end of September. It shows what changes next year: costs, doctors, and covered drugs.
Keeping your plan is fine
If your plan still fits, you don’t have to switch; it usually renews on its own. The point is to check, not to change for its own sake.
Not Sure Where to Start?
Pick what sounds like you — I'll take it from there.
What Happens When You Call
We talk, for free
A relaxed conversation about your health, your doctors, and your budget. No sales pitch.
I check the details
I look up your doctors and prescriptions in the plans I represent and explain the trade-offs in plain English.
You decide
Enroll only if it feels right. I handle the paperwork, and I’m still here after you enroll.
Hi, I'm Matt.
I've called Southern California home since 2003 and I'm passionate about helping people in Los Angeles navigate one of the most important healthcare decisions of their lives.
Before insurance, I spent 18 years as a personal fitness trainer and gym owner. Both careers share the same mission: helping people take care of their health. Now I bring that same dedication to Medicare — making it clear, simple, and stress-free.
- Independent. I’m not tied to one insurance company. I compare plans from the carriers I represent, so you see more than one company’s options.
- Free to you. Insurance carriers pay brokers, so my help never costs you anything.
- Local and personal. I’m based in Los Angeles. When you call, you get me.
- No pressure. You will not be pushed into a plan. I explain your options in plain English, and you decide.
Coverage Options I Can Help You With
Every situation is different. I'll compare the options available to you and explain exactly what each plan covers — in plain English.
Medicare Advantage (Part C)
An all-in-one alternative to Original Medicare, often including dental, vision, and hearing coverage. Many plans have a $0 monthly plan premium (you still pay your Part B premium).
Learn more about Medicare Advantage →Medicare Supplement (Medigap)
Helps pay costs Original Medicare leaves to you, such as deductibles, copays, and coinsurance, for more predictable out-of-pocket costs.
Learn more about Medigap →Part D — Prescription Drug Plans
Standalone drug coverage for those on Original Medicare or a Medigap plan. I'll check your prescriptions and compare total annual costs across plans.
Learn more about Part D →Special Needs Plans (SNPs)
Medicare Advantage plans for people with certain chronic conditions, people who have both Medicare and Medi-Cal, or people who live in certain care facilities. If you qualify, these plans are built around those needs.
Learn more about Special Needs Plans →Matt helped my mom change her Medicare provider after her plan became unavailable, and then when her circumstances changed, he quickly helped her pick a better plan by a hard deadline. He was available every time we needed him and was super caring for my mom throughout the whole process. I highly recommend Matt Rolph!

Medicare FAQs
Yes — completely. I'm compensated by the insurance carriers, so there's never a cost to you for my advice, comparisons, or enrollment help.
Ideally 3–6 months before you turn 65. Your Initial Enrollment Period starts 3 months before your birthday month, so getting ahead of it avoids gaps and late-enrollment penalties.
Medicare Advantage (Part C) is another way to get your Part A and Part B coverage, through a private plan, and many plans include extra benefits. Medigap supplements Original Medicare by covering your out-of-pocket costs. Which is better depends entirely on your health, budget, and doctors. That's exactly what I help you figure out.
Yes. You can make changes during the Annual Enrollment Period (October 15 – December 7) or if you qualify for a Special Enrollment Period. If you are already in a Medicare Advantage plan, you can also make one change during the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (January 1 – March 31). I'll help you keep track of the dates that matter.
I'm not tied to one company. I currently represent 12 insurance companies, and I compare plans from the carriers I represent in your area so you can choose the fit that suits you, not just one company's options. I don't offer every plan in your area; Medicare.gov and 1-800-MEDICARE can show you all of your options.
